With the launch of the Decimal network, blockchain users have the opportunity to create NFTs. And in this post, you will learn the differences between the two standards: DRC721 and DRC1155. But before that, let’s share the news of the update:

Last night the Decimal development team launched the network, fixing bugs and is currently testing the blockchain. Please still refrain from using the network until the official announcement. The blockchain may function with bugs for the duration of the upgrade work.

Now let’s understand the differences in the NFT standards.

● DRC-721:
- Designed for unique, non-interchangeable tokens (NFT);
- Allows you to add reserve in DEL or custom coins;
- Supports a variety of file formats (images, audio, video, etc.);
- Ideal for collectibles, digital art and unique assets.

● DRC-1155:
- Universal standard for creating SFTs (semi-interchangeable tokens);
- Allows multiple copy types to be created in a single smart contract;
- Suitable for game items that can be either unique or interchangeable.

Both standards open up a wide range of creative and business opportunities in the Decimal ecosystem. Choose DRC-721 for unique items or DRC-1155 for a more flexible approach to token creation!

● During the blockchain migration — a separate nft.decimalchain.com page has been created so that each user can create their own NFTs on the EVM network. After testing the network, when all the bugs that caused the blockchain to stop, the NFT creation functionality will also work through the console.
