Blockchain Marketing To End Privacy Wars

According to Forbes, the war over privacy between Apple and Facebook is just one of the elements that marks the end of the current typical digital marketing strategy, and the transition to blockchain marketing.

Fake privacy by media giants

To deploy the iOS privacy update, Apple requires users to request permission to track their actions in apps for personalized advertising purposes. Google’s plans to follow Apple’s lead have yet to be confirmed, but Apple’s new privacy protections will directly hit Facebook’s net profit

Today, information about you is collected in the apps you use or the websites you visit. This data is combined with additional data collected by the companies. Data brokers usually sell aggregated information about you, despite the fact that you never knew about it, and of course, never agreed to share it.

Whether owned or controlled by Internet giants like Facebook or Alphabet, data brokers benefit from the still-unclear rules on the use of metadata and the International Mobile Equipment Identifier (IMEI).

The lack of transparency in data collection and use is what Facebook and other companies have built their vast fortunes on. They used this huge amount of data to increase the time that users spend on their platform and consume paid ads, while collecting even more data. The disastrous results of this misuse of people’s data for profit range from the polarization of society and the spread of fake news, to the dependence on social media.

Apple’s ongoing implementation of its new privacy control system directly affects Facebook’s advertising products, as it limits its ability to display ads with accurate targeting.

In January 2020, Google already announced its intention to stop supporting third-party tracking cookies within two years. This move will affect the entire online advertising ecosystem.

The regulators are also alert. The GDPR rules are now supplemented by laws on digital markets and digital services.

In short, the paid advertising bubble is starting to burst!

Blockchain Marketing as an Alternative

As the current model of digital marketing, based on hidden data and driven by the unconditional greed of some companies, is nearing collapse, the transition of digital marketing to the blockchain can happen quite quickly.

An example of this is 2key, a pioneer in blockchain marketing, driven by the ideal of fair redistribution of wealth, transparency, and accountability.

Unlike today’s megacorporations, which monetize users ‘ time on the network and rely on soulless algorithms for maximum benefit, 2key redistributes 90% of its network revenue to users. This is 2key’s way of thanking people who spend time and effort sharing links. The entire 2key revenue generation and distribution model is displayed transparently, and all users who own multiple 2KEY tokens are invited to quarterly board meetings.

Instead of “being a product”, as is currently the case for users of existing platforms, all 2key users are partners of the platform. And the most important thing is that user data is under reliable protection.
