Birthday Recap of Decimal

Yesterday was exactly 2 years since Decimal blockchain was started. On 1 August 2020, at 18:00 (UTC +3), the genesis block of Decimal’s blockchain network was generated. Traditionally, we recap not only on the eve of New Year, but also on each birthday. The first year after the launch was full of events, emotions and incredible enthusiasm.

The second year was just as exciting as the year of the launch. The first enthusiasm and the deluge of emotions from the launch faded away. They were replaced by rationality, the desire to develop, structure and a clearer, more global understanding of the project. Even now, though, every time a DEL coin or blockchain is added to a new aggregator, reviewer or exchange our crypto hearts skip a beat in a burst of excitement.

So, let’s take a look at what happened in the second year and what progress the Decimal team has made.

The very first news of the second year was the added feature of sending wrapped tokens from DecimalChain to BSC (Binance SmartChain). Here, you can find more details and instructions on how to do it.

Validators LUNA and CONVERTER have created special bots for Decimal in telegram: @DecimalMarketBot and @ConverterPayBot, respectively.

One shows the current DEL to ruble and dollar exchange rates, as well as the top 7 offers to buy and sell on BIT.TEAM. Another, will help chat owners to hold contests, raise activity and instantly reward subscribers with any Decimal network coins.

Creating technological products to solve business issues and packaging complex systems in an accessible cover are great. Moreover, educating more and more people about cryptocurrency, helping them create their own startups are even better. So, on September 1, 2021 DecimalSchool was launched, and already on December 1, 2021, students of our school presented their final projects. In addition to the school, a Decimal blockchain-based coin named DCSCHOOL was launched to reward students and use it in the learning process.

Going back to creating products, the CONVERTER validator team, the same one who created @ConverterPayBot, additionally made @DecimalNotifyBot. It can be used to get information on online wallet transactions, balances and rewards quickly and conveniently.

In 2021, a special calculator was created, supported by validators DecimalPro and RRUone. The calculator can count how many new coins Decimal’s blockchain generates.

Technical advances

The first half of the year has been very busy. What about updates and achievements on the technology side of the network? Well, a lot has been done (even more and harder than it may seem!).

There has been vigorous work on adding DEL to Ledger. In the end, the Decimal team developed a dApp to integrate DEL with Ledger. Compatibility testing is still underway and we hope that in August, our coin will be officially added to Ledger.

Our developers are fully involved in the development of Decimal Smart Chain (DSC), which should be released in late 2022. So far, we have released an article covering smart contracts, explaining in detail how the system works and how smart contracts will function on our chain. As we have mentioned on our social media, the developer explorer is open to all, and you can see in real time how testing is going.

Alongside the development of DSC, our developers are currently working on DEX exchange (dels.io) and Launchpad (del.network).

The Decimal team has released an auto-update with new features. One of them was the DEL coin burning feature, which we tried in July 2022. Then, we burnt about 155 million DEL. In the future, we’ll continue to burn coins in issuance on a quarterly basis, and announce this on our social media.

Also, to promote the Decimal blockchain, we are looking for validators around the world to whom we give grants.

For NFT connoisseurs and creators, a private NFT creation feature has been added this year, with expanded and updated functionality. Additionally, the creator of a non-fungible token can increase the reserve by keeping the created token on its own address.

Socio-cultural events

Obviously, Decimal is a fintech company, but we don’t forget about soul, culture and development for a second! After all, how then to build the beautiful world of the future if there is no self-development, is it?

For the first time, a film called “Monolith” has been tokenised on our blockchain. Here, you can find out more about how the development of this film is going and lift the curtain on that obscure phrase “tokenised film”.

Anonymous has launched the first NFT game based on the Decimal blockchain! And by the way, more than one blockchain-based game has been created already.

At Art Russia Fair 2022 in FEDINI Gallery, four artists were exhibiting their works. You may ask, what is so unusual? Well, the works on the exhibition are NFTs and based on our blockchain that is available on the BIT.TEAM marketplace.

In 2021, the Decimal team took part in a major forum, which was held for the seventh time Blockchain Life 2021.

Later, at another international forum, which was already held for the tenth time, blockchain Decimal won the “ComNews Awards. Best Solutions for the Digital Economy”!

Something about listings, exchanges, platforms and…

The list is very long and is constantly expanding. Each month, Decimal gets more and more differentiated recognition. We will let the numbers and platform names speak for themselves.

Decimal has been added to the blockchain bridge aggregator DeBridges. Use it to find and select the suitable blockchain token exchange service within moments, and analyse the overall market condition of crosschain exchanges with a report from the service.

Not a big step for the world, but not for Decimal: on the MyCoinTainer stacking list, DEL ranks 15th. The coin overtakes such giants as Solana (SOL), Cardano (ADA), Polygon (MATIC), and even Ethereum 2.0 (ETH2).

In the second year of existence, we registered our trademark Decimal.

We entered the CoinMarketCap TOP 3 ranking twice. First time by the interest for the project, second time by the number of gained subscribers.

Our VKontakte community is verified. Also, the channel on RUTUBE has been checked.

This year has been intense, but for the coming year, Decimal expects nothing less than wonderful and enjoyable events. The team has grown a lot and the perception of the project has become more transparent and sharper. We keep moving forward and keep developing the project and the network no matter what.
